Don, Barney, and I have taken a break from packing preparations and gone to town to drop off a video and gas up, pick up some talking books for the drive tomorrow, drop off Grandpa B’s jacket for drycleaning (it was hanging in Grandma’s porch, a bit dirty, when I wore it home one night, and I want to take it back clean), mail a letter to the States, and of course before leaving town we went to the drive-thru and bought ‘blizzards’ for the boys. Now we’re home and it’s quite chilly out, windy with full, dark grey clouds. All their gear is ready to be packed into sports-type bags so that we can leave by 9 tomorrow morning. Don has struck out toward the farmyard to “get some fresh air” before having to come in for supper and a bath and an early night. I hoped to have him deliver our thankyou gift to his aide for her work with him this past year, so we may have to drive into town again later, as I am about as organized as chaos and forgot to take it along earlier this afternoon. Barney is still in the van, spooning his blizzard slowly to make it last as long as possible, because he has been charged with the duty of vaccuming the vehicle out when he is finished. I’m just cold and thinking about going downstairs to change out of my sleeveless dress into something warm and cosy. *** ... Link |
