I first read the diaries of Anaïs Nin when I was in my twenties, and even now I dip into them often. Nin elegantly phrased her life, describing subtle yet powerful human states of mind and heart with charming and clear psychological comprehension. Anaïs Nin's diaries are old friends.

I'm no Anaïs Nin, but she indulged in writing her diaries till the end of her life, and I expect to do the same.
