What's My Story?

I live on a farm in Saskatchewan, Canada with my sweetheart. Between us we have three sons: Gunnar is already in his late twenties and working in Calgary; Emil turned 22 in 2010 and moved into a group home in town, as he needs some help and supervision due to cerebral palsy's complications; and Everett graduated from high school the same year and moved to his dad's in Edmonton in the fall of 2011.

In 2007 we bought Golden Grain Farm and started repairing and renovating the house. I transplanted my perennials in spring 2008 and in June 2009 began staying alone at the house till the others moved over. There is still plenty to do, but isn't that the case even in a brand new house? A home is always a work in progress.

Since I was 12 I've kept a diary or journal, more on than off. And written letters. Then the internet came along and now my friends and family have to read my online journal instead if they want to hear from me.

I work from home as an editor for an online publication. It's interesting, flexible and makes good use of my natural reddin' an' writin' skilz.
