11 a.m.

Being spoiled today, with Loverboy up early baking a chocolate cake and cleaning the kitchen and setting out gifts of books and chocolate and such. At school, Barney made a fancy bunch of flowers out of macaroni, so he had those parked on the kitchen table when I came upstairs. He was pleased with himself and I don’t blame him, they’re pretty impressive.

Jill and I had a big bunch of fresh flowers delivered to Mom out in Salmon Arm, and L and I bought blooming tea-rose bushes for our grandmothers and his mom. I also picked up a begonia-filled planter for Grandma, on Mom’s behalf, so will drop all that off at her place before we go out to Jill’s.

Later, L’s clan is coming to the farm for a wienie-roast.
