Yes, they're purple with sparkly things. I bought them a couple months ago and have received so many compliments that I might as well show them off a little. Not too crazy about my latest haircut but what the hell, the mop always grows. No I do not bite my nails. Gave that habit up when I was 15. They're not hard nails, so they split on the side and I tear them off. In the background is a mask Everett made for a school project. And my green yoga mat. And a corner of the green foam mattress Scott is still sleeping on, here on the office floor. I am looking forward to getting into the new house, if for no other reason than that we can sleep in the same bed again. Everett and I are about to run out for a couple hours into what is surely the last gasp of gorgeous fall weather. )((((((((((((((((((((()((((((((((((((()(((((((((((((()((((((((((( I'm helping my friend Julie put together a collection of stories; please do consider sending us your own. Call for Submissions for [working title] What Words Cannot Describe: Most of us have experienced mysterious events which cannot be explained in logical human terms. We may call them mystical or spiritual, or lack even a term to classify these events. For example, driving to a spouse's funeral, overcome with emotion, and hearing his favorite song on the car radio. Or dreams in which we experience radiant light, conversations with people who have passed on, or possibly connecting with those we consider enlightened beings such as Jesus Christ or the Buddha. These experiences can touch us deeply in a way that can't be adequately expressed in human language because they contain elements of the Divine, or possibly, even what seems diabolical and terrifying. Possibly you've tried to discuss these things with friends or family but have found it embarrassing or frustrating, so you end up feeling isolated when drawing on these mysterious experiences for strength or inspiration. The closet door is open. We would like to hear about your experiences, with the intention of preparing a compilation of garden variety mystical stories as told by the average person. We hope of publish a non-fiction book illustrating the prevalence of the sacred and sublime which hovers at the periphery of our normal daily lives. Join us if you wish to contribute. Complete anonymity is guaranteed. Providing your real name or location is not required. We will acknowledge your submissions by e-mail within 4 weeks time, and keep you informed of our progress in organizing and editing these materials. The purpose of this enterprise is to open discussions that increase our awareness of the sacredness of everyday life and help us to develop a greater comfort with the forces that exist beyond our comprehension. )((((((((((((((((((((()((((((((((((((()(((((((((((((()((((((((((( Now Playing in my office: that damn fridge again )((((((((((((((((((((()((((((((((((((()(((((((((((((()((((((((((( )((((((((((((((((((((()((((((((((((((()(((((((((((((()(((((((((((
