We went for supper at Faye and Rick's about a week (or was it two) ago. After eating a delicious meal — Rick's first major success as a chef for guests — we strolled out onto the road. It was a glorious summer evening. We walked to the garden, where we admired rows of stalky corn and the white blooms of peas, and Faye pulled up a big handful of green onions to send home with us.
