Hard to believe, but my little sweetheart is 18 today. He's been reminding us for weeks, and I'm sure he didn't sleep a wink last night.

The plan (Emil's idea) is to have chocolate cake at Grandma's with the family tonight after we have pizza, one of his two favourites, for supper at home. His teacher was taking him for lunch today; his last day of school for the year. He's been looking forward to these events.

One of my gifts for him is a harmonica. He's a big Neil Young fan, and Neil plays it, so while Emil's fine motor control may not allow him to excel at guitar or piano, maybe this instrument will be one he can easily handle.
